What If I'm Not Home When USPS Delivers?

It happens — USPS comes by and you're not home. Here's what to expect and how to make it easy.

If a Signature Is Required

Because cannabis products are age-restricted, the carrier may require an adult signature (21+) on delivery. If a signature is required and no one's home to sign, USPS won't leave the package unattended — they'll take it back to the local Post Office for safekeeping and leave a notice.

This protects your order and keeps it compliant — no package sitting unattended on a porch. Whoever signs must be 21 or older, but it doesn't have to be you personally; any adult at the address can sign.

USPS Leaves a Delivery Notice

When USPS can't complete delivery, they leave a delivery notice at your address. The notice tells you the package is being held and how to get it. From there you have two easy options: schedule a free redelivery for a day that works for you, or pick the package up at your local Post Office.

You can arrange redelivery online through USPS using the tracking number we sent you — no need to wait for another random attempt. USPS will typically make a couple of delivery attempts before holding the package for pickup.

Pick It Up at the Post Office

Prefer to grab it yourself? Once USPS is holding your package, you can pick it up at the Post Office listed on your notice (or in your tracking). Bring a valid government-issued photo ID showing you're 21 or older, since a signature may be required. Packages are usually held for about 15 days before they're returned to sender.

What Happens If It Comes Back to Us

If a package goes unclaimed and USPS returns it to us, we'll reach out to arrange a reshipment. Since your order is prepaid, we'll get it back on its way once we connect — a reshipment fee may apply for returned packages. How to Avoid Missing It

• Track your package — your USPS tracking number shows the delivery date as it gets close
• Sign up for USPS Informed Delivery — get a heads-up the morning your package is out for delivery
• Ship to where you'll be — home, work, or wherever someone 21+ can receive it
• Plan for a signature — make sure an adult can be available, or use Post Office pickup
• Double-check your address — include apartment or unit numbers so it arrives the first time
• Order ahead — give USPS its 2–4 business days so delivery lands when you're around

Someone Else Receiving?

Can't be there yourself? Any adult at the shipping address can accept the package and sign if needed — a partner, roommate, or family member. Just make sure they're 21 or older and know a package is on the way.

This is perfect for when you're at work but someone's home, or when you're shipping to a household where another adult can receive it. Because everything is prepaid and your age is verified at checkout, the person accepting the package just needs to be of legal age to sign if a signature is required.
